Mahsa Jeff is an Iranian multidisciplinary artist based in Oakville, Ontario. Working across painting and collage, she combines acrylic, handmade and Japanese papers, fragments of literature, and modular wood panels.
Familiar stories become points of departure rather than illustrations. Text and imagery are cut, obscured, and rearranged until a new visual landscape emerges. Her background in architecture and lighting design quietly informs the structure, rhythm, colour, and negative space within each composition.
Artist statement
“Through fragmentation, I consider how stories change when they move between languages, places, and personal experiences.”
